Just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself. I come bearing gifts! Well, a gift anyway!
Here's an image I made for Improbable Island, to help encourage donations:

My theory is this: people like coin slots. Especially pretty ones. They want to put money in them. I use mine as a PayPal link. It's worked okay for me so far!
You can use this image in whatever manner you damn well please, no strings. It's a present! Do what you want with it.
So, hello! Improbable Island is a text adventure game, played in your browser. It's full of lovely, lovely people. I've just launched Season Two, which added a bunch of new storylines, new equipment, new monsters, and a new visual theme. I've been working on Season Two about nine months or so, and finally decided to quit the day job and have a proper go at crowdfunding this thing.
It's already partially crowdwritten - players can submit descriptions and stories for the various beasties that populate the jungle, and they get bonuses in return (I just couldn't quite get up to three hundred monsters on my own). One thing I hope to achieve sometime soon is to teach the players how to code PHP, and open up an area in the game for their own modules. The resource site, including tutorials and examples, should be ready to go by next week.
I think that's everything for now - I think us crowdfunded types should stick together and help each other out, so I'll just mention that I'm a web designer, graphic designer, okay-ish writer, and PHP programmer.
