Introduction

Kia Ora! I am a member over at the Live Journal comm. I'm still learning about crowdfunding but have contributed to a few things here and there. This is my photo/book/etc journal, I also have a personal journal and a gardening journal here at DW.

Are you a creative person, a donor, or both? I've mostly been a donor when it comes to crowdfunding. I've funded poetry, contributed to keep a story going, worked with an artist to design a ceramic teapot & have contributed to a crowdfunded film.

Creative-wise I practice photography, hope to make a living at it one day.

What kind of goods or services do you offer?I have a store with gifty-things with my photos on them at Pinepig Studio. I have put together a few books of my photography at my Blurb shop. I also regularly upload my photos to My Webshots albums. I have historically made these free uploads but am considering doing something for crowdfunding with this.

What crowdfunding project(s) are you currently producing? Nothing really, unless you consider my random thoughts of doing something with my Webshots uploads.

What kind of crowdfunding projects do you like to read or view? I like fantasy/sci fi mostly to read. I enjoy seeing people's creativity, whether it be written or in medium like paint, video, or music.

What are some of your favorite crowdfunding projects? I need to think about this a bit but the 2 that come to mind right now are [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's regular poetry fishbowls (a list of some of the unsold poems here at her LJ and Wyld_dandelyon's Fireborn series at LJ

Why do you like cyberfunded creativity? I like the idea of being a patron (even if I can't sponsor a lot) and I like the idea of working with an artist to create something. There is a lot of stuff out on the net and this seems like a good way to see some of it and to get my stuff out there too.

What do you hope to get out of this community? I hope to learn about what other people are doing for/in crowdfunding. I want to find a community at DW that I can join and enjoy, find a place I can talk about my projects, read other people's projects and hang out.

I'm happy to see you here. I enjoy your photography and I appreciate your support of my poetry too.

Thank you. I'm thrilled to see that you created the community! I briefly considered it but already have 3 journals and a not-really-functioning community I'm dealing with. Not to mention I didn't feel like I didn't know enough to really do a comm justice.

I'll probably comment interchangeably between my [personal profile] red_trillium and [personal profile] pinepig journals. I'm always logged into my red_trillium DW & LJ so if it's a quick comment I might just use that instead of specially logging into pinepig.
